Gigabit +/- 36-72VDC IN, 48VDC OUT 802.3af 17W DC to DC Converter/PoE inserter.
Part Number: TP-DCDC-4848GD Features - Input Voltage +/- 36-72VDC; Output 48VDC 802.3af - Integrated 10/100/1000MB PoE Inserter - High Power 17W - Low Self Consumption Power - Short Circuit, Over Current and Over Voltage Protection - High Temperature Operation 60°C The TP-DCDC-4848GD Gigabit Series of DC to DC converters offered by Tycon Power Systems are a low cost and high efficiency solution for those requiring IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet from a +48VDC or -48VDC voltage source like a battery system or telecom power source. They have an integrated Gigabit POE injector to apply the power and data output to the CAT5 Ethernet cable. The output voltage is regulated and protected. They have two isolated inputs for connecting 2 power sources, like a primary and backup power source. A metal enclosure model is available for industrial applications. They accept gigabit data-in to a shielded RJ45 Jack and provide gigabit data-out and PoE power on the shielded RJ45 output jack. They work by supplying power on the unused Ethernet pins 4,5(V+) and 7,8(V-). They have various protections for surge, short circuit and overload. The units have power outputs up to 17W. The TPDIN series of products may not support encrypted email (non-SSL / TLS). Most mail servers like GMAIL require encrypted email (SSL/TLS).
In order to send email alerts with the TPDIN series of products that don't support SSL/TLS you will need to be able to send non encrypted email via SMTP port 25. You can sign up for a free account at TurboSMTP orJangoSMTP or GMX Mail. These free email servers allow non encrypted sending of emails. Another option is using Google's non encrypted SMTP server on port 25. The SMTP server address is: aspmx.l.google.com This SMTP server will only allow sending to a gmail address. When using this service leave the user name and password fields blank. Make sure to check the box that says "Use user name as from field". For more support on our TPDIN products visit our knowledgebase. Tycon has a line of Remote Power products. These products are meant for remote locations / places that do not receive electricity. For example, our RemotePro™ Solar Systems power radios, gates, security cameras, and much more; where there is no source of electricity. If your solar system is across a lake, through the woods, and on the top of a mountain; the only way to check your equipment is by taking a jet ski across the lake and hopping on a four-wheeler or snowmobile. Then you need our TPDIN™ Remote Power Monitor. The TPDIN™ monitor is a versatile tool which enables the equipment designer and installer to remotely monitor their equipment and site. The unit can be accessed via the network (web and SNMP) to remotely monitor up to 4 voltages, 4 currents, 2 temperatures and control power to various equipment using 4 on-board relays. The system has built-in surge protection to prevent damage from electrical surges. On board data-logging and graphing capabilities allow the user to see history of the various parameters being measured. The graphical interface allows the user to control relays via a single mouse click and monitor all the measurement parameters real-time via any web browser. The web interface allows access and control via desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones. The Tycon APP for IOS and Android facilitates remote access. The system allows control of the relays based on Voltage, Current, Temperature, Time or Ping Watchdog. This provides almost unlimited flexibility. The relays have a special one-click cycle feature with programmable cycle times which can be used to turn a device off and then back on after the predetermined time with a single button click. This is useful for rebooting a device like a PoE Switch by power cycling it, thereby rebooting all devices attached to the switch.
