The low cost SCPOE series can charge lead acid batteries from solar panel input and/or Power Over Ethernet (POE) input. The 8A solar panel input takes priority so when the sun is shining, grid power is not used. There are two outputs; The 30W Power Over Ethernet (POE) output utilizes a high efficiency DCDC converter to provide 48VDC POE and the secondary wire terminal output on the back is regulated at 24VDC. “The TP-SCPOE-2448 was developed specifically to power a camera and a wireless radio from a 24VDC battery system” said Scott Parsons, CEO. “It is the essential building block for outdoor wireless surveillance applications." The SCPOE series offers full protections for over-charge, over-discharge, short circuit, over-voltage and overcurrent. Low self consumption of <0.5W make them ideal for remote power applications. The units are rated for operation from -30°C to 60°C, suitable for year round outdoor operation in a weatherproof enclosure.
